Owned and skippered by Dave Driver, a fisherman of 40 years, she has 3 crew including his son Simon. Girl Debra was built in Falmouth in 2000 and named after Dave's wife. The vessel is built of steel, with a forward wheelhouse, powered by a cummins engine, a refrigerated fish room. It has a length of 13.98 meters, and 6.18 meters wide, weighing 38.15 tonnes. Girl Debra fishes mainly in the English channel, off the Devon, Dorset and Cornish coastline, catching Cod,Haddock,Plaice, Sole, Monkfish, John Dory, Bass, Skate, and landing them daily to be sold on Brixham fish market. Girl Debra is also a member of the Seafish Responsible fishing scheme.
